Service Lines

The water service line or “pipe” from the public right-of-way extending into the home or business is the responsibility of the home or business owner. This also includes any outside meter pit. The repairs of any leaks on the home or business owner’s portion of the service are the responsibility of the home or business owner. The home or business owner must purchase, install, remove and maintain all meter pits, meter pit covers and all other materials composing the meter pit facilities.

Citizens Water is only responsible for the portion of the service extending from the water main to the public right-of-way.
