Advisory Groups

Citizens is committed to seeking input from public and technical advisory groups interested in utility related issues and environmental protection.

Advanced Wastewater Advisory Team - Provides technical advice to Citizens Water and United Water, the operator of the Indianapolis wastewater system.
Clean Stream Team Technical Advisory Committee - Provides advice and recommendations to Citizens Water on topics related to water quality in Marion County including raw sewage overflow control, septic tank elimination, advanced wastewater treatment operations and maintenance, water quality monitoring and watershed planning.
Citizens Stakeholder Alliance - A community based group providing input to Citizens on a full range of issues related to customer service and program delivery for all Citizens utilities.
Water Technical Advisory Group - Provides a forum for discussion of key programs and activities related to water quality, source water protection, water management and environmental stewardship.
Service Advisory Board - Represents communities in the seven county area served by Indianapolis Water. The Service Advisory Group provides opinions on waterworks operations and customer service.
Industrial Dischargers Advisory Committee - Citizens Water representatives participate in this group which represents large industrial customers discharging to the wastewater system.
Industrial Environmental Managers Forum - Citizens Water representatives participate in this group of environmental managers from various large Indianapolis industries who gather to share ideas on environmental issues.
